Flinn PSWorks™ Photogate Timer for Physics  Projectile Launcher for Physical Science and Physics

LPHS needs new classroom supplies for our physics and forensic science classrooms (did you even know LPHS offers forensic science classes?!).  Specifically, we need 1) legos wheels and axels, which will be used to build movable lego cars for physics experiments in velocity and acceleration (total cost of $130) (And, if you have old legos you are looking to get rid of, contact Mr. Brown!); 2) a projectile launcher for physics projectile motion experiments and summative lab (total cost of $140); 3) a photogate timer and rods, which measures velocity and acceleration in physics lab experiments, such as the lego cars, and is used to validate formulaic calculations of velocity and acceleration (total cost of $400); 4) 12 scientific calculators for student use (total cost of $130); 5) clipboards for mock crime scene investigations, which students will use to create diagrams and sketches of mock crime scenes (total cost of $100); 6) metersticks/yardsticks for Forensic Science students to measure and create diagrams and sketches of mock crime scenes and for Physics students to use in exploring displacement, velocity, and acceleration (total cost of $200); 7) Presumptive Blood Test Forensics Demonstration Kits, which can be safely used in a mock crime scene investigations and will give students a real world experience of testing "crime scene" evidence for the presence of "blood" (total cost of $200); and 8) 2 Male Mannequins to be used in real world crime scene senarios (total cost of $450).
